The Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI.KG) presents a unique programme of study in the IT field.
We have the following bachelor's degree profiles:
- Software Technologies;
- Web Informatics;
- Medical informatics.
The Bachelor's programme provides an in-depth study of the IT field within 4 years. Teaching is provided in three languages - Russian, Technical English and Advanced German. INAI.KG provides for the distribution of students into groups according to their English language level. Corresponding profiles are available for all levels: from A1 (beginner) to C1 (advanced). The focus of the course is on technical terms in English and German, which are necessary for IT jobs.
In the first semester you will study subjects such as English, German, algorithms and data structures, human-computer interaction (including SQL queries), advanced mathematics and of course programming languages (Python). In the second semester, you will start learning the JAVA programming language. There will be three to four 80-minute classes per day.
One of the special features of the curriculum is that from the first semester, students write term projects in groups of four or five - this helps them get into the IT field and gives them the opportunity to learn how to work in a team. At the beginning of the semester, each group is given a technical assignment for the project, specifying the basic requirements and functions and defining the programming language in which the program will be built.
Instead of the usual modules, students are given colloquia. This practice came from German universities, where students' knowledge was clarified by a discussion between a teacher and a student. The colloquium is comprised of three aspects: a test in the Ebilim portal, a quiz and a theory test. A student takes three colloquia in each subject in one semester, after which their average score is calculated.
During the course a student takes eight semesters of theoretical study, and after each course the university provides students with internships and practicums where they will be able to accumulate a respectable portfolio.
