Inter-University Fall Hackathon
There is nothing better than a "hackathon" to improve the knowledge of programming. Hackathon is a forum for developers, during which specialists from different areas of software development (programmers, designers, managers) together solve a problem for a certain period of time.
- Without what a software student can't do? Without practice.
- What is important in the hiring process? Experience.
- What is the most interesting way to gain knowledge? In a great company.
A hackathon dedicated to the creation of applications with the participation of students from different universities successfully combines all three features.
The purpose of the hackathon:
Training and development of professional skills of students in the development of algorithms for solving inventive problems and popularization of the hackathon.
Hackathon objectives:
- To develop skills in searching and analyzing information and quick learnability;
- To provide an opportunity for beginner developers to communicate with each other and expand their circle of contacts.

- 2nd place in the hackathon - valuable prizes;
- 3rd place in the hackathon - incentive prizes.
Criteria for participation in the hackathon:
- 3-4 year students;
- A team of 3 people;
- Availability of a personal laptop with each of the participants of the hackathon;
- Availability of free time for 19 hours;
- To be able to implement the set tasks, both on the backend part, and on the frontend part;
- Knowledge of programming languages, both the backend and frontend, as well as the ability to work with relational databases;
- At the end, the developed materials must be provided to the organizers.
Note: Knowledge of programming languages and databases is not limited to certain languages and technologies. Teams can apply a particular programming language or technology at their own initiative.
Evaluation criteria:
- Backend component - how well the code is executed, how ready the product is to sell to a potential client. The maximum allowable score is 4 points;
- The frontend component - how good, attractive, modern and user-friendly is the design of the application/site. The maximum allowable score is 4 points;
- The presentation of the work - how well the product was presented. The maximum allowable score is 2 points;

Meals
Hackathon participants will be provided with dinner and breakfast.
Health
Diseases of participants that require special care , such as diabetes, allergies, etc. must be reported to the organizers of the hackathon when submitting an application. All necessary medication must be brought with you. Unfortunately, the Fall Hackathon cannot reimburse the cost of doctor's visits if necessary and medicines.
