From August 16 to August 29, 2021, 8 students from different cities of Germany actively participated in the summer school "Go East Summer School" at the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics. The organizer of the summer school was INAI.kg.
- Head of the Summer School - A.M.Tologonova,
- Coordinator - A.T. Niyazalieva,
- Guide interpreter - G.U. Ismailova,
- Robotics teacher - S. N. Mambetisayev,
- Lecturer on the History of Kyrgyzstan - A.K. Karyeva,
- Accompanying curators - A.N. Duishenaliev, S.K. Kurmankozhoeva.
The official opening of the summer school took place on 16.08.21. Opening remarks were made by:
Rector of INAI. kg - A.M. Tologonova and representative of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) - Ani Lange.
During 2 weeks the participants of the summer school attended lessons on “Robotics” and “History of Kyrgyzstan”.
At the “Robotics” lessons, the participants of the “Go East Summer School 2021” got acquainted with the Arduino microcontroller. A microcontroller is a microcircuit that allows you to control electronic components, that is, a microcontroller is the basis for a wide variety of projects - from mini-robots to smart homes, not to mention industrial applications.
Depending on the type of project, the appropriate code must be written to the microcontroller. And this is where programming knowledge is needed. Arduino programming is carried out in the C ++ language and the participants of the summer school received the necessary skills to work with this programming language.
Electronics is also an integral part of robotics. After a well-written code, it is necessary to assemble a circuit, and without knowledge in the field of electronics, this cannot be done. Therefore, along with programming, the participants got acquainted with the basics of electronics.
During two weeks, the summer school participants worked with LEDs, motors, light, temperature, gas, distance, motion and many others sensors.
The final project of the summer school participants was the development of an automated hospital. During a pandemic, this technology that could help in working with patients, limiting contact with the infected and conducting remote monitoring of the condition of patients.
In their project, the summer school participants used RFID technology to open doors, some doors opened automatically when a person approached, thus avoiding contact with the door handle. Lighting control was carried out through a mobile application, automatic ventilation of the premises was introduced, and the patient's temperature was displayed on the screen.
In order to see the application of robotics in practice, were organized excursions to: Kant Cement Plant OJSC and Avtomash-Radiator LLC.
At the lesson “History of Kyrgyzstan”, the participants of the summer school got acquainted with the Kyrgyz language and the history of Kyrgyzstan. The lessons were conducted in Kyrgyz language with translation into German.
Total of academic hours were 116.
There was also a presentation of national instruments, felt products. Where participants of summer school took part actively

- excursions and trips to the sights of Bishkek;
- visit to the museum of fine arts;
- trip to the Ala Archa National Park;
- trip to Issyk Kul lake:
Official closing of the Summer School was held on August 29th and made a congratulatory speech:
- Rector of INAI.kg - A.M. Tologonova
- Head of the DAAD information center in Bishkek - Katya Tevs
At the end, all participants were presented with certificates and gifts from the institute.
